Our People

Every church needs leaders who offer conscientious oversight and prudent management of buildings and finances. St John’s is blessed to have an able group who oversee the life of the parish. We call this group ‘Vestry.’ The two senior Vestry members are known as ‘Wardens’ and they have special responsibility for the parish and work alongside Rev John to ensure the parish runs smoothly.

Scripture teaches that every member of the Church has gifts and abilities, and these can be used to contribute to the life and mission of the parish. We are blessed to have lots of wonderful people who serve God and the church in a whole variety of ways.

There are worship leaders, preachers and those who serve morning tea and tend to the grounds. There are those who play music and lead the prayers, those who lead Bible studies and those who organize the Food Parcels and Firewood ministries. There are those who repair our buildings and those who look after the finances. There are too many avenues of service to name!
